Advanced Hypnotherapy Techniques

Advanced hypnotherapy is a rich and multidimensional practice. It weaves together insights and techniques from several disciplines---including psychology, medicine, neuroscience, spirituality, and somatic healing---to create a deeply personalized path for transformation.

-Sessions are customized for your unique situation and goals, and typically last between 2 and 2.5 hours.  ​
-I'm dedicated to helping you reach your goals as quickly as possible. 

-All sessions are professional, private, judgement-free and strictly confidential.

-Progress and improvements can occur very quickly, often in the space of three to six sessions, but as far as resolution, it really depends on the layers of what you are dealing with, and each person's life experiences are so different. 

-Sessions take place online, as you enjoy the comforts of home.

Here are some of the techniques we may use in our sessions together:

HYPNOTIC PROGRAMMING RECORDING: REWRITING YOUR INNER SCRIPT

During our first session together, I like to provide you with a valuable tool that you can use at home to continue the momentum of positive change in between sessions—a recording that combines hypnosis with carefully crafted suggestions using your own words. This is called hypnotic programming, and it's the art of offering the subconscious mind new stories — ones that align fully with who you want to be. It's kind of like updating the “software” running in the background of your thoughts, habits, and emotions. In the hypnotic state, where brainwaves naturally slow and the body relaxes, the conscious mind steps back, allowing direct communication with the subconscious mind. Here, carefully chosen words encourage self-healing, emotional clarity, and the emergence of forgotten strengths. These are your words, not mine; this makes it easy and natural for the suggestions to take root in your subconscious mind. I will make a recording of the session, and you will want to listen to it every day for 2 to 3 months. Hypnotic progamming is an easy foundation for the improvements that you want to make in your life; this recording will be a valuable and extremely useful tool to help you reach your goals.

PARTS WORK: RETURNING TO INNER HARMONY

Parts Work invites us to listen deeply to the inner voices that shape our thoughts, choices, and emotions, some of which hold opposing beliefs and goals. We all contain multitudes—conflicting desires, protective instincts, wounded places, wise insights—and Parts Work offers a gentle and respectful way to bring these inner aspects into conversation.  During the relaxed, open state of hypnosis, we can meet the part that wants to keep us safe, the part that longs to grow, or even the one that’s been holding onto pain for far too long, bringing voice to each part’s positive intention—whether it’s protection, control, expression, or belonging. Rather than repressing or eliminating any part, this process seeks respectful integration, allowing for resolution, cooperation, and lasting change. The result? A profound inner harmony and a sense of wholeness that feels both empowering and quietly revolutionary. Hypnosis causes the brain to enter a highly receptive, neuroplastic state—ideal for accessing and restructuring these inner representations. Functional MRI studies have shown that emotional regulation and self-referential processing involve distinct neural networks, suggesting that dialoguing with parts can meaningfully influence behavior and perception. In essence, parts therapy uses this state of focused inner attention to restore coherence within the brain’s narrative systems, often resulting in improved self-regulation, resilience, and emotional well-being.

REGRESSION: HEALING YOUR PAST TO HEAL YOUR PRESENT

Regression is a powerful advanced hypnotherapy technique that allows us to explore early memories and emotional experiences that may still influence how we think, feel, and respond as adults. In a relaxed, focused state, we tap into the brain’s natural ability to retrieve and reprocess meaningful events from the past. While the accuracy of specific memories retrieved may vary, the emotional truth and symbolic content hold significant value. By revisiting these younger parts of ourselves with compassion and insight, we can heal old wounds, break habits that aren't working for you any more, and build a more empowered relationship with our present-day self. Modern neuroscience supports this process too—showing how the brain’s networks for memory and emotion adapt and change when old experiences are safely explored and gently restructured. By creating a safe container for re-engaging with formative experiences, unresolved material is integrated, leading to improved emotional and physical wellbeing and a deeper feeling of empowerment.

BREATH WORK:  BREATH, FEEL, HEAL

Breathwork opens the body and mind in a unique way-creating a space where awareness deepens and emotions begin to naturally surface. In this receptive space, we begin to access layers of ourselves that are often just beneath daily awareness. Thoughts may slow, memories may stir, and intuition becomes more available. It's a powerful process on its own; and when paired with the tools of hypnotherapy, it becomes a deeply supported path toward restoration and clarity. Once the breath has shifted your inner landscape, hypnotherapy helps you work with whatever arises. Whether it's an image, memory, emotion, or old pattern, we can meet it together with intention, using methods like inner dialogue or regression to bring understanding and relief. The breath helps the body speak; hypnotherapy helps you listen and respond with compassion. Together, they invite lasting transformation-rooted not just in insight, but in embodied experience.
